The fore end of my stock stops 12.5" (31.6 cm) from the muzzle of the rifle.  It has a Schnabel fore end.  The widest part of the Schnabel portion including the barrel is 1.6" (4.1 cm) at a point 13.5" (33.5 cm) from the muzzle.
Could any one of you with the standard long fore end please measure your rifles at this point to see if the dimensions are the same or close.

Thanks Jim

It is my opinion that your stock has been cut.  I wonder how many around the forum own an original half stock sporter?
