Hello all,
I recently joined the forum and thought I should say hello.
I am a military history enthusiast, and a reenactor from the Brantford Ontario area. I've been collecting enfields for the last two years and finally decided that I needed a Ross rifle as well. This was rectified when I purchased one from one of the members on here, who I actually met on another site.
Since I have a young family and limited "play money" I had to find a fixer upper (which I then followed up with the purchase of another rifle) and this forum has been a fantastic resource to help me with my restoration/addiction! Here are a few pictures of my progress:

The pair.

New handguard.

New stock.

Pulling front sight.

Special thanks to the admin for helping me get started on this site.
Cheers
Neil

It's walnut. A cabinate maker friend of mine graciously provided me with the timber. I also rebuilt a sporterized no1 mk3 enfield with this walnut. It came out quite nicely!
